Customize your Profile
Update your name and email, change your password, manage where you're signed in, and pick a theme — the things that make Auxot feel like your account.
Plus: three pasted Admin-Agent prompts — a scripted morning opener drawn from your agents and role, the Account safety session list reviewed for anything out of place, and a teammate-facing intro paragraph ready for context files.
| Audience | Everyone |

| Prerequisites | An Auxot account on any tier. |
| You'll end up with | Profile mirrors reality — name and email saved as you type, password updated if needed, **Account safety** reviewed, and optional Admin-Agent pastes for morning routines or introductions. |
When a tutorial shows italic text in quotation marks, it usually mirrors a label or helper string inside Auxot. Product copy changes between releases — if something reads differently in your workspace, trust what you see on screen.
Callouts with a Worth knowing gold accent are meant as must-read context before you move on. Blockquotes that open with Tip are lighter, optional depth.
Why this matters
Profile is where you tell Auxot who you are. Your name is how teammates and agents refer to you. Your email is where account notifications land. Your password and active sessions are the difference between a secure account and a leak waiting to happen. Most people set this stuff once when they sign up and never touch it again (until they change their last name, switch laptops, or find an active session in a city they’ve never been to).
Today, take three minutes to make sure your Profile actually reflects you right now. Auto-save means there’s no Save button: just edit a field and Auxot persists it.
Profile fields autosave; Account safety lists live sessions locally (sign-out-all still signs every device out, including this one); optional Admin-Agent pastes sharpen routines once the facts are on-screen.
Quick start
- Sign in: open Auxot in your browser and log in.
- Open Profile: click your name in the top-right corner (or Settings in the left menu, then Profile).
- Update your name and email: Auxot saves automatically as you type.
- Change your password: only if you need to. Click Change password, fill in the current and new passwords, save.
- Check your active sessions: scroll to Account safety. If you see a session you don’t recognize, click Sign out of all devices.
Done? Your profile reflects who you are right now, and your account is as secure as you can make it from this page.
The agent can do that?
Nobody reads Profile prose out loud every day; paste how you introduce yourself anyway. Skim the suggestions, tweak the voice, and save the ones that work as Add your first context file material when you’re ready.
1. Scripted morning opener
Chat → Admin Agent:
My profile says I'm [your role] and I work on [brief description of your business]. Looking at the agents I have built, design a quick "first thing every morning" routine I should run. Draft me one prompt I'd paste into chat with [pick one agent or "the right agent"] to kick off my day.
Why it’s non-obvious: Busy mornings start with email or dashboards instead of a deliberate first move. Naming your role and pasting your workload turns your agent inventory into one paste-ready kickoff prompt that you still tweak before saving anywhere.
2. Sanity-check pasted session rows
Paste what Account safety already shows yourself:
Here are my active Auxot sessions: [paste each session's device, signed-in date, expires date, and last sign-in info from the Account safety section]. Anything here that looks out of place — a city I'm not, a device I don't own, a sign-in time that doesn't match how I work? Be blunt.
Why it’s non-obvious: Long session lists are hard to skim. Asking for outliers in plain English surfaces the rows worth investigating, though chat never substitutes for reading Account safety yourself. A pasted session list with a blunt ask surfaces an unfamiliar city or a sign-in time that doesn’t match how you work, which is enough to justify Sign out of all devices without first scheduling a formal security review.
3. Draft the short intro teammates repeat
Based on my profile (name [your name], role [your role]) and the agents I use most, draft a short "this is me, this is how I work" paragraph my teammates would see when they're about to bring me into a conversation. Two or three sentences. Make it readable, not corporate.
Why it’s non-obvious: Without a profile sentence, agents have less to work with when they reference you. Paste the facts, prune the voice, and save the version that works as Add your first context file context so handoffs read as written by a person, not as onboarding boilerplate.

Why there’s no Save button
Auxot saves your profile changes automatically as you type, with a small debounce (about half a second) so the server isn’t hit on every keystroke. A small toast confirms each save. If your network drops mid-edit, the change just doesn’t save: refresh and try again.
Sessions and what “Sign out of all devices” actually does
The Account safety section shows every active session: device, when you signed in, and when it expires. Use Sign out of all devices when something looks wrong, or as periodic spring-cleaning.
Theme: saved per browser
The theme picker (light/dark/etc.) saves to your browser’s local storage, not your account. Switch browsers and you’ll set it again. This is intentional: different devices, different lighting situations.
Troubleshooting
- Field changes aren’t saving. The auto-save debounce means there’s a half-second delay. If a field’s still showing your old value after a few seconds, check your network. Validation errors (like an empty field or a too-short password) prevent saves: look for inline error text.
- Change password fails with “passwords do not match.” Re-enter the new password in both fields. Common typo source: trailing whitespace.
- You can’t change your role. Roles are managed by your org admin, not editable from your profile. If you should have a different role, ask your admin.
Variations & edge cases
- Email changes. Updating your email here changes your sign-in email for next time. Make sure you can still sign in with the new address before you sign out.
- Free tier: profile works the same as on paid tiers.
- No avatar/photo upload (yet). Profile doesn’t include a photo upload: name and email are what teammates see for now.
- Active sessions list is read-only. You can’t manually revoke individual sessions. The “Sign out of all devices” button is all-or-nothing.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Sign in
Open Auxot in your browser and sign in.
Step 2: Open the Profile page
Click your name in the top-right corner of the navbar: your profile page opens directly. (Alternative path: click Settings in the left menu, then Profile.)
Step 3: Update your name and email
The Profile Details section is at the top:
- First name: required.
- Last name: required.
- Email: your sign-in email and where account notifications go.
- Role: read-only. Your org admin manages this.
- Joined: read-only. The date your account was created.
Changes save automatically as you type. A small toast confirms each save. There’s no Save button.
Step 4: Change your password (if you need to)
Below Profile Details, the Change password section has three fields:
- Current password: what you sign in with today.
- New password: minimum 8 characters.
- Confirm new password: must match the New password field exactly.
Click Change password to save. A toast confirms.
Tip: Don’t reuse a password from another service. Auxot has access to your business’s agents and context files: treat it like a banking password, not a forum login.
Step 5: Check your account safety and sessions
The Account safety section shows:
- Last sign-in: when you most recently signed in on a new device.
- Active sessions: count and per-session detail (device, signed-in date, expires date).
Look at the list. If you see a session that doesn’t look like one of yours (wrong city, unfamiliar device, or signed in at a time you weren’t on Auxot), click Sign out of all devices. This revokes every session, including this one. You’ll be sent to sign in again.
Tip: Treat “Sign out of all devices” like a security alarm test: run it once a quarter even if everything looks fine. It’s a clean reset and teaches you what the recovery flow feels like before you need it.
Step 6: (Optional) Pick a theme
Scroll to Appearance. Pick light, dark, or whatever else is in the list. Your choice saves to your browser, not your account: switch laptops and you’ll set it again.
What’s next
- → View and manage your License. What tier you’re on and what it unlocks. A baseline to check before you scale invites or spend on integrations.
- → Invite your first teammate. Once your profile is set, bring others in.
- → Add your first context file. Turn that “this is me” the Admin Agent drafted into a real context file your agents can use.
